OCE Postdoctoral Fellow - Australian Continental Fire Emissions Modeling

An opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on diagnostic modeling of the Australian continental fire emissions. The successful applicant will work with a small team using biospheric models and large datasets to understand material and energy exchanges of the Australian terrestrial biosphere.
You will contribute to the development of a research capacity in Australia to establish the continental net carbon balance with the vision to extend it to include other greenhouse gases and an understanding of the processes controlling the natural and anthropogenic fluxes of terrestrial ecosystems. The work will also contribute to a global assessment of the Global Carbon Project called REgional Carbon Cycle Assessment and Processes (RECCAP), with opportunities to interact with other international regional groups overseas.
