Thesis Title

Investigating global terrestrial plant productivity using novel satellite observations of chlorophyll fluorescence

Alex's research aims to further our understanding of carbon cycling through land ecosystems on a large scale. He is utilizing novel satellite observations in concert with land-surface models to constrain estimates of plant primary production, and investigate the usefulness of this observation in improving our process-based understanding of carbon uptake by the land.
