Biography

Kai graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 with a PhD in computer science. From 2008, he worked as Data Grid Analyst in the High Performance Computing group at the University of Queensland.

His expertise is in data management and sharing, cluster computing, and Grid Computing. He has extensive experience in Linux system administration and storage management.  Kai also has excellent programming skills in Java, C, Fortran, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g. Shells, Python, R). He holds multiple industry certifications, e.g. SUN certified Java Programmer (SCJP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation V3, etc.
 
As part of the Computational Modelling System Team, Kai provides support in using the CABLE, JULES, WRF and ACCESS Coupled models for researchers across CoE.
