Thesis Title

The influence of tropical cyclones on global ocean climate

Tan is interested in computational models. His aim is to use the computing power to investigate behaviors of the ocean, especially on large scales, and various scenarios of the climate based on the result. Tan's current research project aims focuses on estimating the impacts of tropical cyclones on the upper layers of the ocean in terms of mixing and heat content.

Prior to the study, Tan obtained a Bachelor of Science in University of Science in Ho Chi Minh. He has more than 2 years working with computational models and want to gain more knowledge on this field.
