Adding a QR code to a poster

QR codes or quick response codes can add enormously to posters at conferences. The codes are the latest way to bring mobile phone users to websites, which use QR readers downloaded form itunes or found through a Google search to automatically open websites on mobile phones.

On a poster the codes allow individuals to place further information, documents and multimedia animations on a website which can then be viewed immediately on a smartphone by participants at a conference.

There are plenty of free QR Code generators online (see www.qrstuff.com) to get you started and it is possible to save the code in a variety of image formats for printing.
