Projecting fire weather using regional climate model
Hamish is interested in the interplay between rising carbon dioxide levels and vegetation growth, and its influence on bush fire risk. He is looking at potential links between net primary productivity and bush fire fuel load as a way to explore this question. He is also interested in fire weather conditions and has worked with observational and model data-sets. Hamish works for the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage in the Climate and Atmospheric Science section.
